Don Artemio has been on my list for some time now, and I’m so glad we chose it to celebrate our anniversary dinner. If you’re in Dallas like us, the 45-minute drive is absolutely worth it. The ambiance is incredible—it instantly transported me back to Mexico City with its rustic and authentic Mexican feel. The nopalitos (cactus) were a standout. Even as a native Mexican who grew up eating nopales, I’ve never had them fried like this before. They were flavorful on their own and paired perfectly with the guacamole. The drinks menu is extensive, and everything we tried was fantastic. For our mains, we had the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and paired with delicious sides. But the highlight of the evening was dessert: a deconstructed tres leches cake. It was just as heavenly as it sounds and the perfect way to end the meal. Our server, Eric, was attentive and made the experience even better. We’re already planning to return and bring more family next time. Highly recommend!

Don Artemio in Fort Worth serves incredible steaks. Our group enjoyed the Tomahawk, Sirloin Wagu, and the filet mignon. Our appetizers included octopus and cactus tortillas, which were exceptional. They are a must try to share with your table. The ambiance is stylish yet warm.

Really enjoyed the food here. It's a worthwhile experience to taste many of the so-called Tex-Mex classics prepared in a high culinary gourmet style. Food was excellent and we finished everything despite ordering too much. Environment and waitress were also very nice. Highly recommend.

I’ve been a regular at Don Artemio for two years now, and let me tell you, the food is absolutely incredible! The service is top-notch, and everyone there treats you like family. Martin, Eric, Alexis, and Adrian are especially friendly and welcoming. It’s like being in Mexico without actually being there! And the drinks are the best in town. Highly recommend this place!

Loved my first visit on a Sunday morning. Loved the complimentary valet and sweet paleta dessert (i had the coconut,). Everything was fresh, delicious and tasted made in house (especially the blue tortillas). Tip: the bunelos and other breads are 7 each...this was not immediately obvious to me (wish they had gluten free options). Will return.

Was always told to come here , coming from Grapevine it’s about a 33 minute drive but IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The drinks were incredible especially since they served La Pulga Tequila my favorite Tequila! The waitress Esme was INCREDIBLE ! She taught us the history of the restaurant and the meaning behind the decor, and the FRIED NOPALES was so good I smiled of pure Joy eating it. Definitely coming back, worth all the hype!

Don Artemio is hands down my new favorite restaurant in DFW! Tucked away and a little hidden, I was completely surprised to walk into such a beautifully designed, upscale space. The ambiance is stunning and thoughtfully crafted but what truly made the night special was our amazing waitress, Esmeralda. She shared the history of the restaurant and what makes it unique, which made the experience even more meaningful. We started with the Nopalitos Fritos appetizer (Esmeralda’s recommendation), and so delicious! I had a margarita that hit the spot, but my sister’s carajillo was next level... absolutely to die for. And my main dish? “El Famoso Chile Hojaldrado”... Quite literally the best Mexican food I’ve had in DFW. Last but definitely not least Tres Leches for dessert Incredible service, amazing food and drinks, and an atmosphere that just makes you want to stay and savor every moment. Five stars all around ¡y todo!

One of the best Mexican dining experiences we’ve ever had—authentic, unique, and bursting with flavor. The menu stood out with creative twists and traditional touches. We loved everything (well, almost everything—I couldn’t quite get over the soft texture of the beef tongue, but my husband was all in!). The chorizo was absolutely to die for, especially paired with the incredible blue corn tortillas. The seabass was packed with flavor, and the mole was rich and unforgettable. The margaritas? Easily some of the best we’ve had anywhere. The cherry on top was the outstanding service from Daniel—attentive, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. We’ll definitely be back and are already keeping an eye out for the next mezcal tasting he told us about!
